The newly approved universities include K D University in Mathura, Gandhi University in Jhansi, Ajay Kumar Garg University in Ghaziabad and Chandigarh University in Unnao. With this recent nod, the total count of sanctioned private universities in the state reaches 34, with eight already in operation.
Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra who led the high-level committee, underscored the significance of expanding educational infrastructure in remote sectors through private sector initiatives.
