Indian Students Invited to Explore Higher Education Opportunities in Europe at Upcoming Virtual Fair

The European Higher Education Virtual Fair (EHEVF) in India will be held on November 23 and 24. The fair will connect Indian students with leading European institutions. There will be 73 higher education institutes from 21 EU member states. The EU is the world's leading destination for higher education, accounting for 25% of the world's top 200 institutes in the world.

Students and researchers gain professional proficiency while experiencing a blend of cultural diversity. The Russian House in Chennai is encouraging Indian students to apply for fully funded education programs in Russia. The scholarships offer up to 200 grants for students to pursue degrees in various fields such as medicine, physics, nuclear power, and aeronautical engineering. The Russian House in Chennai provides information on universities and available scholarships for Indian students. The EU is planning to propose new sanctions on Russia, including a ban on diamond exports, due to the war in Ukraine. The EU has already imposed 11 rounds of sanctions since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

The proposed sanctions will also tighten the oil price cap to reduce Russia's revenue. The ban on Russian diamonds is supported by Belgium, a major trading hub, after the G7 agreed on a plan to trace the origin of the stones. The EU is also struggling to secure long-term funding for weapons to Ukraine. The number of Indian students studying in the United States has reached an all-time high of 268,923, a 35% increase from the previous year, according to the Open Doors Report.

Indian students constitute over 25% of the total international students in the US, making India the largest source of international graduate students. The report also highlights India's leadership in the number of individuals pursuing optional practical training.
