Description
UPL University of Sustainable Technology owes its establishment to its inclusion in the Schedule through Section 3(8) of the Gujarat Private University Act 2009, as amended by Gujarat Act No.15 of 2021. This pivotal amendment took effect on June 1, 2021, as confirmed by Notification No. GH/SH/81/EPU/2020/10012020/KH-I, issued on June 2, 2021, by the Government of Gujarat. The university possesses the authority to grant degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.
The visionary institution known as UPL University of Sustainable Technology is the brainchild of Ankleshwar Rotary Education Society (ARES), driven by a mission to position Gujarat and India on the global education stage. This journey commenced in 2011 with the establishment of the Shroff S.R. Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology (SRICT). Initially, SRICT offered undergraduate (B.E.) engineering courses in affiliation with GTU and with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi
