Founded by the visionary Dr. S. B. Mujumdar in 1971, Symbiosis began as an International Cultural and Educational Center. It has since evolved into a haven for students, both local and international, seeking higher education in Pune. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar's exceptional contributions were recognized with the prestigious Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards conferred by the President of India. True to its name, which signifies "living together for mutual benefit" in botanical terms, Symbiosis has flourished over the past four decades, expanding into a family of 43 academic institutions that offer education spanning from Kindergarten to Post Graduation across a diverse range of disciplines.
