Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, a constituent of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research under the auspices of Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes, Kolar, holds recognition from the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Situated in Tamaka village, Kolar, the college and university office span nearly 100 acres of a lush green campus, located 75 kilometers from Bangalore and the Bangalore International Airport. The campus boasts various buildings dedicated to administrative, teaching/training, hospital, and hostel facilities, covering a total built-up area of 85,000 square meters. Offering medical courses at undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD, MS), and postgraduate diploma levels, the college envisions launching doctoral programs in Biochemistry and Microbiology, along with a fellowship program in Head and Neck Onco-Surgery. Additionally, plans are underway to design a revised curriculum for the MBBS course, aligning with the regulations set by the Medical Council of India.
