Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV) stands as a Deemed-to-be-University, embracing modernity while firmly rooted in a rich educational heritage and ethos. Established in 2008, this institution tirelessly endeavors to excel in academics, research, patient care, and outreach services, all driven by a commitment to serve society.

The university's constituent units include two medical colleges, one dental college, two nursing colleges, a school of pharmacy, a school of biomedical sciences, a school of physiotherapy, and a school of allied health sciences. All regulatory programs are duly recognized by the respective statutory councils, ensuring high standards in education. Innovative curricula, synonymous with academic flexibility, are promoted across the academic programs of Allied Health Sciences.

SBV's visibility is enhanced by the A++ Grade conferred by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has consistently ranked among the top 100 Indian universities according to the NIRF India rankings for the years 2016 to 2023. The Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute (MGMCRI), a constituent unit of SBV, ranks among the top 50 medical colleges in India as per the NIRF India rankings 2023. SBV's constituent hospitals, MGMCRI and Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute (SSSMCRI), are accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). SBV's fight against COVID-19 is reinforced by a dedicated laboratory for RT-PCR, approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, SBV's Medical Simulation Centre in the Pondicherry campus is endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) as an International Training Centre. The School of Biomedical Sciences is a novel concept integrating biological and medical sciences, while the Mahatma Gandhi Medical Advanced Research Institute aims to open new horizons in higher education.

SBV ensures its graduates' eligibility to register with any state council or pursue further education in any part of India.
