The Punjab School Education Board, commonly abbreviated as P.S.E.B., is a prominent educational body situated in Mohali, Punjab, India. Established in 1969 through legislative action by the Government of Punjab, its primary responsibilities encompass managing the academic curriculum in public schools within the Punjab state, conducting standardized examinations, overseeing scholarship administration, and publishing textbooks. The Board's headquarters are situated in SAS Nagar (Mohali), near Chandigarh.
At its helm is a full-time Chairman, with a term lasting three years, who reports to the Secretary of School Education in the Government of Punjab. The current Education Secretary of the board is Sh. Harsant Singh Sekhon, an IAS officer, who is deeply committed to shaping the educational landscape of Punjab through innovative initiatives like 'Padho Punjab.'
