Description
The University's founder and president, Jayesh Patel, was accused of sexually assaulting a female student. Additionally, the female rector of the girls' hostel, who was alleged to have assisted in the offense, was also arrested.[6] On June 21, 2016, Jayesh Patel was apprehended by the Vadodara police and subsequently taken into custody.[7] Subsequently, Jayesh Patel filed a bail application, citing that he had been in judicial custody for 18 months. During this period, 22 witnesses, out of a total of 123, had been examined as part of the trial.
