Description
The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) had its beginnings in 1973. However, in 1996, when the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) ceased to offer the Pre-University Course, the responsibilities for this program were transferred to the Board. From that point forward, all financial matters pertaining to the SSLC and HSSLC branches came under the jurisdiction of the Board.
With an increasing number of students each year, the workload has also grown. As of 1996, the Board has taken on all academic responsibilities, including the development of syllabi for all classes, encompassing SSLC and HSSLC.
