Description
Manipur International University (MIU) stands as an Autonomous Statutory State International University, duly established, recognized, and accredited by the Government of Manipur.
MIU's establishment is formalized through the Manipur International University Act of 2018, enacted by the State Government of Manipur. Furthermore, MIU enjoys recognition and inclusion in the list of State Private Universities by the University Grants Commission (UGC), under sections 2(f) and 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, as administered by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The State Government of Manipur has also accorded MIU the prestigious designations of an "International University of Excellence" and an "Institution of State Importance."
