Description
Maharishi University of Management and Technology (MUMT), located in Mangla, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), came into existence through the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operations) (Amendment) Act of 2018. This milestone was achieved with the gracious assent of the Honorable Governor of Chhattisgarh on April 13, 2018, followed by its official publication in the Chhattisgarh Gazette (Extraordinary) on April 17, 2018.
At its inception, Dr. Girish Chandra Varma assumed the role of Chancellor, Col (Dr) T.P.S. Kandra became the Vice-Chancellor, and Dr. Vijay Garudik was appointed as the Registrar of Maharishi University of Management and Technology.
The University's Statutes and Ordinances received the endorsement of the Chhattisgarh State Government on October 14, 2019, further solidifying its foundation and governance framework.
