Description
Founded in 1980 in Vaddeswaram as K L College of Engineering (KLCE), KLEF underwent significant transformations over the years. Achieving autonomy in 2006, it attained the status of a deemed university in 2009, becoming known as K L University. In response to a directive from the University Grants Commission, which urged 123 deemed institutes to avoid using "university" in their names,the institution was subsequently renamed Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation. Finally, in 2019, it adopted the name K L Deemed to be University.
