Formerly known as JSS University, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research is a Deemed-to-be University situated in Mysuru, Karnataka. Established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, it operates as part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, an institution managing various educational establishments. Recognized by the Ministry of Education and accredited by NAAC with an A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA), JSS AHER holds the esteemed Category-I Deemed-to-be University status from the UGC.
Since its inception, this Deemed-to-be University has dedicated itself to teaching, research, and health services. Guided by the leadership and benevolent patronage of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the Chancellor, along with Pro Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh and Vice Chancellor Dr. Surinder Singh, the university has made significant strides. Emphasizing effective, value-based education, JSS AHER focuses on grooming graduates, postgraduates, and Ph.D. researchers.
