Description

The Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) was established in 1972 through a Ministry of Education Resolution. Its primary objective was to facilitate the exchange of information among member Boards, coordinate their activities, ensure a reasonable degree of consistency in academic, evaluation, and curricular standards, and foster collaborative efforts in both curricular and co-curricular initiatives at an inter-board level. The IBCC serves as a platform for the chief executives of various educational boards and provincial Curriculum Bureaus to engage in discussions and consultations pertaining to the development and advancement of Intermediate and Secondary Education, as well as Technical Education. It accomplishes this by providing recommendations to the government on pertinent matters. Furthermore, the IBCC plays a crucial role in coordinating various educational activities, such as curriculum development, testing and evaluation, examinations, educational planning, and administration.
