Established in 2009 by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as an autonomous institute under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, the ILBS (Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences) is a specialized hospital focusing primarily on liver and biliary care. This singular emphasis on a specific organ system enables the institute to attain a high level of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of liver and biliary diseases.
With a dedicated team of over 1000 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and support staff, ILBS ensures the provision of high-quality care. The doctors at ILBS are highly qualified and experienced in liver and biliary diseases, having received training from esteemed medical institutions in India and abroad.
ILBS boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, featuring a sanctioned capacity of 549 beds, with over 300 already operational, along with four operation theaters, a 24x7 emergency department, a blood bank, a pathology laboratory, and a radiology department. The hospital also houses a specialized research center, further contributing to its commitment to advancing knowledge and treatment in the field.
