Established in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has played a vital role in skill-building for India's external trade sector. Evolving over the years, it has become a distinctive institution dedicated to imparting knowledge through research and training in international business and trade. Recognized as a "Deemed to be University" in 2002, IIFT has garnered Grade 'A' accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in both 2005 and 2015. Today, IIFT stands as a national university with a strong emphasis on International Business Management and Strategy, evident in its core activities of Research, Training, and Education.
