ICFAI University, Raipur, is a privately-owned institution situated in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. It was established in accordance with Section 9(2) of the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operations) Act of 2005 and received official notification on March 25, 2011. The University is authorized to confer degrees by the University Grants Commission, as per Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. It is one of the eleven universities within The ICFAI Group and holds membership in the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.[citation needed]
