Description
Established by N.J. Yasaswy and promoted by the ICFAI Group, IFHE is affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), a non-profit educational society in Telangana, India. Founded in 1984 by N.J. Yasaswy, Besant C. Raj, and Prasanna Chandra, ICFAI has set up universities and standalone business schools across India.
In 1995, ICFAI established the ICFAI Business School Hyderabad (IBS Hyderabad) in Hyderabad. In 2008, the institution was granted deemed-to-be-university status and was named 'ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education' (IFHE). IFHE's Faculty of Management includes its first constituent, IBS Hyderabad.
The initial Chancellor of IFHE was Abid Hussain, with J Mahender Reddy serving as the Vice Chancellor. After Abid Hussain's passing in 2012, C. H. Hanumantha Rao assumed the role of Chancellor. The current Chancellor, serving since 2015, is C. Rangarajan.
