Description
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is the government agency in Himachal Pradesh responsible for prescribing educational curricula, providing textbooks, and conducting examinations for secondary school students. Established in 1969, its headquarters are situated in Dharmshala. The inaugural chairman of the board was Kultar Chand Rana, hailing from Kangra. Currently, the Board is affiliated with over 8,000 schools and sets up 1,650 examination centers to accommodate more than 500,000 examinees annually.
