Description
Established in 1985 with the vision of fostering change and progress through education, the Tmt. Kannammal Educational Trust initiated the Thai Moogambigai Polytechnic College. Within a brief three-year span, Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College was inaugurated in 1988, followed by the establishment of the Thai Moogambigai Dental College in 1991. Both institutions attained Deemed University status in 2003, officially recognized as Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. This recognition was conferred by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, and the Union Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India, New Delhi.
