Description
The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, was established in 1982 in accordance with the Odisha Higher Secondary Act of 1982, which received approval from the Governor of Odisha on October 23, 1982.
The primary objective behind the formation of the Council of CHSE(O) was to oversee, regulate, and advance Higher Secondary Education within the state of Odisha. While its administrative operations began on September 7, 1982, within a rented facility in Goutam Nagar, Bhubaneshwar, the council subsequently constructed its own administrative building in Samantapur, Bhubaneshwar. It commenced its operations from this self-owned infrastructure on January 2, 1996. This campus is now known as Prajnapitha.
