Description

Following the establishment of the state of Chhattisgarh, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education came into existence through a notification issued by the Chhattisgarh Government School Education Department under number F 10-5-/13/2001 on July 20, 2001.

The board's headquarters is situated in Raipur, the state's capital. It has four divisional offices in Bilaspur, Surguja, Jagdalpur, and Rajnandgaon. The Surguja divisional office serves the regions of Surguja, Korea, Balrampur, Surajpur, and Jashpur. The Bilaspur divisional office covers Bilaspur, Janjgir, Korba, and Raigarh. The Jagdalpur divisional office oversees Jagdalpur, Dantewada, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Sukma, Kondangaon, and Kanker. Finally, the Rajnandgaon divisional office is responsible for Balod, Bemetara, Durg, Kawardha, and Rajnandgaon districts.
