Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE)

In 2008, the Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) attained the esteemed status of Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Since then, CARE has played a significant role in society as an institution dedicated to higher learning and research in the fields of Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, and Nursing.

CARE holds approvals from various regulatory bodies such as MCI, INC, TNNMC, AICTE, COA, BCI, and PCI. It has earned a grade 'A++' accreditation from NAAC, 12B status from UGC, SIRO status from DSIR, and a star from MHRD's Innovation Cell. The institution has also been recognized for its commitment to environmental sustainability, ranking 9th in the country according to UI Green Metric.

Guided by the university's motto, "Capability, Character, and Commitment," CARE offers professional, job-oriented, and innovative academic programs. With a focus on interdisciplinary education that aligns with emerging needs, CARE provides 74 academic programs in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (AHS), Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Architecture, Commerce, and Law. The student body, comprising approximately 2500+ individuals pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. education, includes a significant number of first-generation graduates from rural and semi-urban areas.
