"Its inception dates back to 1920, and it continued its operations until 1980. Subsequently, it was officially established under the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board Act of 1981. The certificates issued by this board hold recognition from the Government of Bihar. The board's curriculum spans various stages: Class 1 to 5 (Tahtania), which is equivalent to Primary School or Lower Middle School; Class 6 to 8 (Wastania), which is akin to Middle School; Class 9 to 10 (Fauquania), equivalent to Matriculation (Matric); and Class 11 to 12 (Moulvi), comparable to Intermediate or 10+2. It also holds recognition from the Government of Bihar, COBSE Delhi, and the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) in the USA.
Graduates from the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board in Patna are eligible for admission to the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)."
