"The Bihar School Examination Board, commonly known as BSEB, is a legally mandated institution established under section 3 of the Bihar School Examination Act - 1952. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Government of Bihar and is responsible for organizing examinations at the secondary and senior secondary levels in both government and private schools within the state of Bihar.
These examinations are conducted in accordance with the curriculum outlined by the Government of Bihar. The board is headquartered in the state's capital, Patna. In addition to school-level examinations, BSEB also administers departmental exams, including those for the Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education, Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) specific to Bihar, Simultala Residential Entrance Examinations (for admission to Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya), and the Examination for Diploma in Elementary Education, among others."
