Description

"The genesis of Banasthali is a truly exceptional tale. Banasthali Vidyapith's creation was not the result of an educationist's vision, a social reformer's agenda, or the largesse of a philanthropist. Instead, it emerged like a phoenix from the ashes of a budding flower named Shanta Bai, which had withered before it could blossom. The establishment of Banasthali was a spontaneous response to the void left by Shantabai's untimely passing. Love, boundless love, served as the wellspring for all thoughts and actions, propelling this endeavor.

On October 6, 1935, Smt. Ratan Shastri and Pandit Hiralal Shastri, the former secretary in the home and foreign department, founded Banasthali in order to fill the void left by their highly talented and promising daughter Shantabai's sudden demise. They had held great expectations that she would champion the cause of women as she grew older.

Since its establishment in 1935, Banasthali has been dedicated to providing girls with an education that empowers them to attain a position of respect and equality in society."
