SCHOLARSHIP
BITS Pilani offers two types of scholarships - merit scholarships and fee concessions. These scholarships are provided to students based on multiple parameters and are worth INR 2 crore. Around 30% of the students admitted to BITS Pilani programs get semester tuition fee waivers ranging from 15% - 100%. The scholarships are available for both first-degree and higher-degree programs.
Merit scholarships are offered to students who have excelled in their academic performance. Candidates who have secured the top position in Class 12 are given a merit scholarship of 50% of the first-year tuition fee. To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must have an overall aggregate of at least 90% or equivalent in the qualifying exam. Additionally, candidates who have scored high marks in their qualifying degree/exam are also eligible for merit-based scholarships. The scholarship amount varies based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam, ranging from 40% to 10% of the first-year tuition fee.
BITS Pilani also provides scholarships based on the score obtained in BITSAT. Admitted candidates with BITSAT 2021/2020 scores of 200 or above will be eligible for scholarships for the first year of the academic year 2021-22, depending on the score secured in BITSAT. The scholarship amount varies based on the BITSAT score, ranging from 75% to 25% of the first-year tuition fee. Additionally, candidates who score 150 or above are eligible for a 25% concession in hotel fees for the entire program duration.
