History
According to the Indian Nursing Council Act 1947, the Indian Nursing Council was established in 1947. Since that time, the Council has been operating as a separate entity within the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. A group of nursing professionals who worked as a committee and closely collaborated with Delhi's Health Minister in 1995 eventually resulted in the establishment of the Delhi Nursing Council. A law was enacted in 1997, and on June 11, 2001, the Delhi Nursing Council Act, 1997, Act No. 3 of 1999, and its rules were notified.
The Delhi Nursing Council's constitution was published on May 17, 2002, in August 2001. The council was inaugurated by the government of NCT Delhi's minister of health.
